Haikou Historical Neighborhood Renewal - BINGHAO LI Architecture

In the renewal process of this historical neighborhoods the existing block fabrics are mostly remained, in which new circulation network is created after the part removal of on-site buildings. One of the inner street is chosen to be the site’s main avenue due to its closeness to the outer area and its fabulous street facade. A color solution is given to the facade, lighting up the avenue’s ambiance.

New programs (housing, commercial, public) are inserted on valuable plots and street intersections, surrounded by continuous green space, turning the whole site into a sustainable community.
